April / May

We just had one of the most effective work team of six persons, Daniel, Jimmy, Paul, Sid, Phil, and Dawn, leave for home yesterday.   We are very thankful to each of them and pray for God's blessings on each of them, their families and work God has given them.  Praise God!  There was so much to do, and they almost finished. They probably would have, if the cabinet supplier had sent the ones we needed, instead of a bunch of substitutes, without informing me. 

But, that's one of the logistical problems of living in bush Alaska - (you meet with the designer who takes your check and tells you the cabinets are in stock because the computer says so, he  sends the order to the yard across town where I have two 20 foot vans staged to be loaded.  The warehousemen begin pulling the order, only to find out they don't have what was sold to me.  The lead foreman calls the designer and they begin quickly redesigning / substituting cabinets so they can start stuffing the vans, because they have 20 more vans and flats standing by to be filled and loaded for other contractors).  God gave us the money to buy the cabinets, two years before installing them, and the opportunity to ship them at a much reduced rate with a contractor that just happened to be building a new school in Togiak.  Praise God!  Isn't He wonderful.
